The Faculty Development Center invites proposals to facilitate various session types and formats. View the Call for Proposals below:

 

THIS WORKS FOR ME VIRTUAL SUMMIT

Do you have a strategy that has worked for you as a faculty, leader or learner? Have you ever struggled to do something and then you figured out a strategy that worked? Could your shared strategy be the solution to someone's problem?

The Faculty Development Center will host a virtual summit titled This Works For Me, in Spring 2021. If you answered yes to any of the questions, consider submitting a proposal for one or more of the following tracks, and you may also propose a different track:

  • Leadership
  • Teaching and Learning
  • Technology
  • Student Success
  • Research
  • Service
  • Promotion and Tenure
  • Peer Review of Teaching
  • Change Management
  • Mentoring
  • High Impact Practices
  • Grant Writing
  • Accessibility
  • Other

The recorded interviews will be shared via the FDC newsletter, YouTube channel, Facebook page; various listservs; and other media agreed upon by the speakers. Additional logistics will be discussed with the speakers. Suggestions are also welcomed.

LOVE OF LEARNING BROWN BAG LUNCH RESEARCH SERIES

 

Are you conducting or publishing research on teaching and learning? 

The Faculty Development Center is inviting individuals who are interested in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) to submit a proposal to facilitate a session during our next Love of Learning Brown Bag Research Series.

TEACHING WELL WITH TECHNOLOGY SERIES

Do you use technology to facilitate learning? Are you interested in sharing how one or more technologies have worked well to help your students learn?

The Faculty Development Center will host a Teaching Well With Technology Series in Spring 2021. We invite proposals from faculty who are interested in facilitating hands-on sessions that will equip participants to use certain technologies in their courses to help students learn.

STRATEGIES FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING SERIES

Do you use a particular strategy or have seen a strategy used in innovative ways to facilitate learning? 

In Spring, 2021, the Faculty Development Center will host the Strategies for Teaching and Learning Series. If you are aware of a strategy that could impact our students and faculty success consider submitting a proposal.

INFORMAL CONVERSATIONS SERIES

Do you have a topic that you would like to discuss informally with others to gather insights or to share what you have learned?

In Spring 2021, the Faculty Development Centers plans to host informal conversations to promote substantive discourse about topics that could impact our students and faculty success. You may submit a proposal to lead an informal discussion or suggest topics that are of interest to you and could be of interest to other faculty.

GENERAL SESSION 

Are you interested in facilitating a session that does not fit in any of the aforementioned proposal categories?

The Faculty Development Centers is open to individuals facilitating sessions other than the ones mentioned above.

You may submit a proposal to lead a session that is of interest to you and could be of interest to other faculty. Use the link provided below.
