Core Standards for Kentucky

The Kentucky Core Academic Standards were recently adopted by the Kentucky State Board of Education to guide the educational programs in Kentucky.  The standards for English/Language Arts and Mathematics are represented by the Common Core Standards, which were developed by the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices and the Council for Chief State School Officers.  Other programs of studies are still guided by the Program of Studies from 2006.
