Biographical / Historical Information: Paul White served with the Company F, 113th Ammunition Train United States National Guard during the First World War. He was born at Hardin, Marshall County, Kentucky on Christmas day in 1896. He was mustered into military service at Murray, Kentucky on April 14, 1917 and assigned to Company L, 3rd Kentucky Infantry as a private. On August 5, 1917, he unit was drafted into Federal service and re-designated as the 113th Ammunition Train. The 113th was deployed oversees in the middle of October in 1918 and ordered to Le Mans, France. The unit returned to United States in December of 1918. He was discharged from the service on January 23, 1919. He later received a victory medal for his service during the war.     

 

Scope and Content: Collection consists of certificates, discharge papers, pay record book and a photograph of Corporal Paul White of Hardin, Kentucky from 1917 to 1918.
